5 Tips For New Parents #challengetowrite

I'm slacking on this...I had others posted but something happened & they disappeared.. so I'm gonna do 9 & 10 today because I feel 9 is important :)

9- Give me five tips that you would give to new parents.

1. Trust your instincts.

As a new parent you are constantly being told the "right" way to do things from EVERYONE you know. Although, you appreciate the ad ice, it can become quite annoying & confusing. Every parent has their own way of doing things. The key is to stay true to who you are as a parent & find your way. No matter if someone may disagree....BECAUSE FRANKLY, it's your kids, your way.

2. Pick & choose your battles.

There are going to be many things that your kids do wrong... don't expect them to act like angels all the time. Pick & choose your battles...

3. Accept that you won't be perfect.

You WILL make mistakes, and you will learn from them. Don't sweat it. Don't be hard on yourself. Keep going with your head up!

4. Enjoy & cherish the little moments.

Time really does fly, my oldest is already almost 4, and it already seems she doesn't need me anymore... cherish the moments you have with your children... because you can't get them back. They will be grown up before you know it.

5. Remember, they are just kids.

Children can drive you crazy, you can do anything & everything you know to fix the problem but in the end it might not matter... they are just kids. Kids will be kids.

& of course above all, love them unconditionally, no need to list this ;)
